I recently received a notification that one of my short stories would be published in an anthology by the editors of Literally Literary, a Medium publication.
To say that I was excited and honored would be an understatement. This will be the first piece of my writing that is published in a book other than my self-published novels.
The short stories that I have shared with the world are all horror stories. Part of my excitement regarding inclusion in this future works also stems from the fact that I only started writing horror stories this year. I wrote about that in my blog post, Embracing My Darkest Demon and Writing My First Short Horror Story.
I don’t know which of my stories will be included in the Anthology. The editors sent out the notification early to let those authors who don’t their works included to opt-out of the publication.
Three of the stories that I have published in Literally Literary are longer short stories. What Color Are My Eyes is one of my 250-word short stories.
The Cannibal in the Morgue | A New Friend for Darius | Blood Sacrifice | What Color Are My Eyes? |
I’m looking forward to seeing which story is chosen!
