This last weekend, my younger son, Brandon had a baseball tournament in Steamboat Springs, CO. Since the boys would be traveling with their mom to the tourney, I decided to head out early and so a little wandering.
One leg of my journey took me through some Colorado State Trust lands and Arapaho National Forest. I was absolutely amazed at how beautiful the landscape was.
- Carter Mountain Cattle Company
- National Forest Access
- Depth of View
- Spring in the Aspens
- West Carter Mountain
- Random Mountain Pond
- So Blue and Green
- Moo Cow, Moo!
- Dirt Road to Nowhere
- West Carter Mountain with a Yellow Field
- Field of Yellow
- Beautiful Plants
- That’s A View

Shea, you took some beautiful photos! I work for the nonprofit Sonoran Institute and one of our programs focuses on state trust land across the Intermountain West. Would you allow us to use the hi-res images of state trust land in our work (none of it is commercial)? Please contact me at [email protected]. You can visit our website devoted to state trust land issues – http://www.statetrustlands.org.
