Bennington, VT, was so much more than I expected. From the sixth largest monument in the United States to Early churches to the Bennington Museum and even CHOCOLATE!
A scenic view of Split Rock Lighthouse perched on a rocky cliff surrounded by lush green trees. The calm blue sea stretches out beneath the cliff, and a partly cloudy sky adds depth to the horizon. Leafy branches frame the right side of the image, enhancing the natural beauty.
Split Rock Lighthouse is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world, and I was excited to learn more about this iconic structure and its impact on Lake Superior.

A historic red brick building with "Marshall Co." engraved above the entrance features a tall central tower with a conical roof and ornate details, embodying the rich heritage of Marshall County. Autumn leaves on nearby trees add vibrant color. A blue and yellow historical marker is visible in front, under an overcast sky.
The Marshall County Courthouse caught my eye as I was walking around town. It was an eye-opening experience to go into my first small-town museum and learn about local history.
