After a few days of working and enjoying the desert, I needed water, a shower, and a little exploring, so I headed into Globe, Arizona, and checked out several interesting locations.
After getting a little bit of work done, I decided to head into town and check out the local history. The Platte Valley Historical Society has done a fantastic job preserving area history.
This national park came as a complete surprise. I didn't have a strong sense of how much of the United States has been homesteaded and its impact on our history and culture.
