My Adventure Gets a Good Day of Exploring

Have you ever found yourself wandering in a place so beautiful that it feels like time has stopped? A few days working and dripping Springs in this beautiful location was exactly what I needed to get myself ready to continue my explorations.

🌵 The Perfect Campsite

Dripping Springs is truly a hidden gem. Picture this: a cozy little area with my trailer surrounded by cacti, offering just enough coverage from the elements. I’m still trying to decide whether or not to stay here with some nasty weather moving in. While considering the warmer Sonoran National Monument, I hesitated because the winds there could turn fierce. Instead, the serene atmosphere here was far too inviting to leave.

💧 A Day of Exploration

I realized I was running low on water. I hopped in my vehicle and headed towards Globe, Arizona, eager for some exploration. My first stop was the Besh-Ba-Gowah Archaeological Site Museum. Did you know that the Salado people built this remarkable site in the 1200s? But just as mysteriously as they appeared, they disappeared around 1400. It was fascinating to learn about their way of life and the remnants they left behind.

🎨 Art and Culture in Globe

After soaking in history, I wandered into downtown Globe. I envisioned an art museum but stumbled upon a compelling art gallery instead, filled with creative expressions that painted the town’s spirit.

Just a block away stood the Holy Angels Catholic Church, its interior surprisingly ornate and beautiful. There’s something magical about stepping into a historic church; the craftsmanship is breathtaking and feels like a testament to the community’s devotion.

🌮 Culinary Delight

Now, what’s an adventure without food? It was time to try the local tacos! As I bit into one, the flavors danced in my mouth. It felt like a small celebration of the region’s culture.

Satisfying my hunger, I continued my journey into Miami, Arizona, a town that has certainly seen better days. As I strolled through the streets, the charm of its vintage storefronts and abandoned buildings whispered stories of the past—perfect for some photography.

🐶 Unexpected Friendship

Later, after a delicious meal and a satisfying exploration, I returned to my campsite. To my joy, my little puppy friend had returned and was now sporting a cozy coat! It was a sweet reunion, reminding me of the simple pleasures found in unexpected moments. This journey is filled with surprises, both big and small, and it feels good to share them with steadfast companions—no matter how furry they may be.

Wandering through these landscapes, learning the history, indulging in the local culture, and building friendships, my time in Dripping Springs is turning into a memorable chapter. Whether it’s the warmth of the campsite or the friends I’ve made, this journey is definitely filling my heart with joy.
