Akeley Paul Bunyan Museum

I might’ve missed the museum tucked back away from the road if it wasn’t for the absolutely huge Paul Bunyan statues by the side of the highway.

A man with curly hair and glasses smiles for a selfie in front of a large statue of Paul Bunyan holding an axe, with blue skies and clouds in the background, likely taken at the Museum in Akeley.

Honestly, the giant Paul Bunyan was the coolest part of this entire stop. The museum was focused primarily on the history and residents of Akeley and had little information regarding Paul Bunyan or his blue ox.

The museum itself was a bit disorganized, and most of the donations to it seemed to be jammed in somewhere, or somebody at the time thought they might fit.

Of course, there were some interesting pieces.

A red and green upright piano covered with quilts is displayed in a cluttered room at the Paul Bunyan Museum, filled with various antiques and Akeley memorabilia.
A vintage National cash register is displayed on a wooden base next to a memorial sign and an old radio, evoking the nostalgic charm of the Akeley museum dedicated to Paul Bunyan.
A room filled with vintage artifacts, including an ornate wooden desk, framed pictures, and old maps, resembles a small museum. A glass display case housing Paul Bunyan memorabilia adds to the charm. The space is cluttered with historical items.
A vintage radio transceiver with various dials and switches is displayed on a tabletop, next to a wooden sign and other miscellaneous items.
A vintage typewriter displayed on a wooden cabinet in a room filled with various antique items and artifacts, reminiscent of a museum showcasing treasures from Akeley's past.

And there were a couple of things about Paul Bunyan.
