I greatly enjoyed wandering around Cottonwood Falls, and as the afternoon began to give way to evening, I needed a place to camp and get some work done.
Kansas has a number of amazing fishing lakes that are stocked and provide some great free camping. I found a great spot, unhooked the trailer, and made a little curry for dinner. I certainly couldn’t complain about eating here!

To compliment my curry, I cracked open a wonderful Saison that my friend Jackie gave me in a gift basket before I hit the road for this crazy adventure.

I worked through the evening on the shore of the lake and for most of the next day. The curry was so tasty the night before that I made another.
When the wind doesn’t cooperate or when the weather turns cold, I am able to set up either a gas or electric hot plate in my trailer. And yes, I vent the trailer when cooking with gas!

Fall is a great time to begin an adventure like this, and it’s hard not to enjoy kicking back and working in a location like this!
