It was only a short drive to Lakeshore Park and the public beach from the cool old courthouse, so I wandered around. I knew the weather wasn’t exactly beach weather, but I wanted to see what it felt like at the beginning of a storm. Fortunately, this would be a relatively mild storm compared to what can whip up in the Great Lakes.

It was a short walk through some trees and then some beach grass. The wind was blowing, but not so hard that I couldn’t walk around and snap a few pics.

A serene beach scene featuring tall grasses in the foreground leading to a sandy shore with gentle waves lapping at the beach. The sky is overcast, and there are clusters of trees on the right side, adding a touch of greenery to the landscape.
Sandy beach with scattered driftwood logs along the shoreline of a large body of water. Waves gently crash onto the shore under a cloudy sky. Dense green trees line the background on the right side, creating a contrast with the sandy foreground.
A man with curly hair and glasses smiles at the camera, standing on a sandy beach with driftwood. The sky is overcast, and waves are visible in the background. The shoreline extends into the distance, bordered by trees on the horizon. He is wearing a gray t-shirt.
