Sonoran Desert National Monument Round Three

Watching the weather deteriorate south of Tucson was very frustrating. This happened last year, and it felt like a bit of déjà vu as I pointed the trailer toward the Sonoran Desert National Monument.

When I got there, I was a little bit cranky because somebody was in my favorite spot from last year, but I drove a little further in and found an even better place. As if it was meant to be, I even got a beautiful sunset on my first evening and what was one of my favorite places last year.

And as the minute slowly ticked by, the sky became a richer and deeper shade of red.

This might not have been exactly what I had planned, but I planned to make the best of it. And being able to sit right here and watch the sunset certainly soothes my soul and makes me optimistic about my time back in the Sonoran Desert National Monument.
