Having spent a few evenings watching spectacular sunsets from my campsite, I decided to head out on a little walk on the road. As I walked away, I turned around and snapped a pic of my campsite.
In the distance, I saw a granddaddy saguaro cactus and headed over to capture some photos as the sun raced into the horizon.
Nearby was one of the biggest barrel cactuses I’ve come across on this trip. This puppy was bigger than me!
While I was waiting for some colors to appear in the sky, a bird landed on the saguaro and sang for a while.
When the sun began in earnest, I started snapping pics, hoping to get some quality shots of this beautiful old cactus and a beautiful sunset.
This cholla cactus also decided to pose for me while the sun was setting.
