Bricktown is one of Oklahoma City’s most vibrant and iconic districts, known for transforming from a historic warehouse neighborhood into a bustling entertainment hub. Located just east of downtown, Bricktown blends the charm of red-brick industrial architecture with the energy of modern urban life. Its revitalization began in the 1990s as part of the city’s MAPS (Metropolitan Area Projects) initiative. It sparked a renaissance that turned the area into a hotspot for dining, nightlife, sports, and culture.
Sadly, I arrived in November around lunchtime, and it’s pretty obvious this isn’t a hop in place during the colder months, at least at lunchtime. It was still cool to see this revitalized area, and I can understand why it’s such a popular place.
After grabbing an unimpressive lunch, I decided to visit the Centennial Land Run Monument. The path includes a famous statue of a Chickasaw warrior next to an excellent walking path with beautiful bridges and a few waterfalls. Of course, I snapped a few pics.
