Zion Lutheran Church

Visited on: Wednesday, August 7, 2024
National Treasure: Sheyenne National Grassland

The grave marker that looked like a globe cut my eye, so I had to return and check out the church.

Usually, only Catholic churches are unlocked. This was surprisingly open.

Interior view of Zion Lutheran Church through open double doors, showing wooden pews, a red carpeted aisle, and an altar at the front.
A church altar with red carpet, wooden podiums, and a central religious figure at Zion Lutheran Church. Banners on either side read "I am the Bread of Life" and "Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord." An American flag stands to the left.
A community hall at Zion Lutheran Church with multiple tables and chairs, patterned carpet, and a small kitchen area in the background. The room has wood-paneled walls and some windows with floral curtains.
The Zion Lutheran Church, with its white facade and tall steeple, stands surrounded by a green lawn and gravestones. Trees and a cloudy sky form the serene backdrop.
A green sign outside a building announces the Zion Cemetery Association Annual Meeting, affiliated with Zion Lutheran Church. Held on the 3rd Saturday of May at 1:00 PM. Annual clean-up begins the same day at 9:00 AM. Contact numbers are provided.
