Kearny County, KS Veteran’s Memorial

Only shortly after seeing the Historical Marker for Chouteau’s Island, I found a nice war memorial at the Larkin Cemetery.

The Kearny County Veteran's Memorial features two black granite walls etched with names in a circular plaza. Four gray benches encircle a star detail, while four pillars stand at the corners. Trees and open grass complete this KS tribute under a clear blue sky.

Of course, what caught my attention was the tank.
