I was really hoping to spend a couple of days in Wausa, but unfortunately, the Internet connection was terrible, and I ended up rolling out the next morning.

As I was setting up my camp, the maintenance guy who was mowing the grounds came by and gave me a key to the shower facility. Which was a very cool thing to do.

It was historical marker and an interesting old wood carving at the park regarding the Lewis and Clark expedition.

A wooden sculpture of a man in a coat and hat stands beside a seated dog on a concrete base, surrounded by trees and rocks. In the background of Gladstone Park Campground in Wausa, NE, a playground with equipment is visible.
A weathered sign titled "Men in High Spirits," located near NE's Gladstone Park Campground, depicts an illustration of a boat with four men rowing. The text narrates an event involving Captain William Clark and the Corps of Discovery, adding a touch of historical charm to these serene surroundings.
Small park area in Wausa, NE featuring a statue of a person next to a sign, surrounded by trees. A playground and a covered pavilion are in the distance at Gladstone Park Campground. The display area is encircled by rocks.

I love the welcome sign to the small community.

A sign that reads "Welcome to Wausa," shaped like a fish, is displayed in front of a van marked "Keystone Corps Q125 Wausa NE." Both are situated on a grassy area with trees and a tower in the background, reminiscent of the neighboring Gladstone Park Campground.
