After a few days of working and enjoying the desert, I needed water, a shower, and a little exploring, so I headed into Globe, Arizona, and checked out several interesting locations.

Believe it or not, there are castle ruins in Missouri! It was built in 1905 and destroyed by fire in 1942. After wandering the ruins, I also checked out a sizable natural land bridge.

On my way to find a quiet, secluded spot to ride out the holiday weekend, I bagged another National Monument and found a cool old church, but then found disappointment in Rome.
The historic Old County Courthouse in Ontonagon is a charming red brick building with green vines climbing its walls, surrounded by lush trees and grass. A stone monument with a plaque stands on the right. The scene is peaceful and verdant, with a cloudy sky visible through the leaves.
As I headed to the Lakeshore Park from the Ontonagon Lighthouse, I drove past this old brick building covered with Ivy and had to stop to explore and take some photographs.

I simply love stopping in cool little towns that have unique character. The bank building here is absolutely beautiful and needed to be photographed and added to my blog.
