Driving up Juniper Flats Road was a serious exercise in patience and rump-bumping! The road was quite rough, but when I reached the dispersed camping area, I knew I’d picked a winner.

With over a week of work planned, along with a couple of days as a tourist in Bisbee, including visits to the Queen Mine, a mining museum, and Tombstone, having this great site reminded me how much I appreciate my nomadic lifestyle. It is always awesome to find a campsite that has a great overlook. While this one did look down onto a highway in the distance, the overall view was very peaceful and calming.

I could see the town of Bisbee in the distance, and if I looked the other way, it was apparent why I had such spectacular internet speeds!

A small teardrop camper trailer is parked at a dirt campsite off North Juniper Flats Road, surrounded by trees and brush. Its back hatch reveals a compact kitchen. Tall towers rise in the background as the Bisbee sunset casts a warm glow across the scene.

With the exception of a windstorm that blew through one day, I enjoyed my time at this site.

Being here made me think back to the Deschutes River Overlook, where I’d stayed a few years ago. The overlook there was awesome, but the location sucked as it was right on a road. I would have loved this privacy and that overlook combined!
